Forever Friends Quilting Inc. is the embodiment of Maggie's love for quilting and fabric. The store offers an array of stunning quilting fabrics and top-quality notions from the industry’s leading manufacturers. When you’re crafting something personal and meaningful, Maggie believes you deserve the very best materials to bring your vision to life.

Dive into Maggie’s story…

The idea for this business came from a simple yet powerful realization: there was a need for a local quilting store. Quilting was my hobby, but travelling to Calgary for fabric started eating into the precious time I could have spent creating. So, I decided to fill that gap, not just for myself, but for all the quilters in the community. That’s when I took the leap and opened my own store.

There have been so many wonderful moments along the way. One that always sticks with me is when someone walks into the store and says, 'I don’t even know how to turn on a sewing machine.' It takes me back to my own journey, from hating home economics in high school to falling in love with quilting after my kids had grown up. I always tell people, 'If I can do it, anyone can!'

The proudest moments come when customers thank me for being here, for giving them a place in the community where they can pursue their passion. Their gratitude means the world to me, especially on those hard days. It’s what keeps me going and reminds me why I started this in the first place.

This business is about more than just selling fabric. It's about building a legacy of kindness and community. That’s why we started 'Community Hugs,' a group sponsored by our shop that brings sewers together to create quilts for those in need. It’s a labor of love, and I hope it’s something that will live on for generations, both in our business and the community.

At Community Futures Wild Rose, we love seeing passions turn into small businesses that enrich the entire community—just like Maggie’s! We’re here to support you on your entrepreneurial journey and help you turn your dreams into reality. Contact us today to get started.
