They have supported Parachutes for Pets and Kennedy Senior Services while planning to engage in more local events and fundraisers. Known for their exceptional service, they go above and beyond by helping customers at home, offering last-minute repairs, and working within budgets. Their commitment to honest, community-driven service makes them a deserving nominee for the Heart of Our Community Award.

Just Sugar Body Sugaring is more than a business, it’s a place where connections are made and community support thrives. Dedicated to giving back, they have contributed to Wheatland Hospice Society, True North Society, Boob Tour, Trinity Christian Academy, Strathmore Library, and the Carseland PB Club. Beyond donations, their owner personally volunteers with School Fuel, ensuring local students receive a healthy breakfast. Connect Leisure Services is dedicated to fostering community involvement and personal growth. Over the past three years, they have organized lemonade stands, Christmas markets, garage sales, bake sales, and auctions to support local causes. Their team has volunteered at the Strathmore Library, Happy Cat Sanctuary, and Alpine Pet Rescue, while also collecting and donating supplies to the homeless shelter. Through community service initiatives like garbage cleanups at Kinsmen Park, they empower participants to develop valuable skills and leadership. Now in their new, accredited space, Connect Leisure Services continues to better the lives of our community members!

From the Strathmore Rodeo and Classroom of the Month to Stuff A Bus, the Lions Club, Legion, and Christmas Hamper, they consistently give back. Their store is a fully functional pharmacy with compounding services, a Canada Post outlet, a Hallmark Gold Crown store, and a go-to destination for giftware. Their ongoing commitment to Strathmore makes them a deserving nominee.

Baldwin BBQ & Catering is nominated for its outstanding support of local events, fundraisers, and charities. Owner, Kory Baldwin, regularly donates meals, sponsors youth programs, and hosts community BBQs. They provide free BBQ events for Farming for Hospice, offer discounts at the Legion, and contribute to initiatives like the Stomping Down Mental Health Barriers Run. Baldwin BBQ sponsors local sports teams, school programs, and community events, including the Wheatland Kings, Silver Sharks, and 4-H projects. Their generosity extends to Huntington’s research, the Veterans Food Bank, and the Wheatland Christmas Hamper, making a lasting impact in Strathmore!    

Joker Bicycle Co.

Joker Bicycle Co. in Caresland is nominated for its dedication to making cycling accessible for all. Owner, Jake has spent the past three years working with Denise from Lil’ Hoots on community initiatives by donating and repairing bikes to give away for free. He has also contributed bikes to Carseland School fundraisers, the Carseland Church Thrift Store, and a local martial arts raffle. Additionally, Jake donates time to the Strathmore Kiwanis Bicycle Rodeo, teaching kids bike safety and performing on-site repairs. With 80% of his earnings reinvested into donation bikes, Jake’s passion and generosity make a lasting community impact.
